Twenty-Four

Has anyone else watched this series from the beginning? I just started season one at Christmas last and I am currently up to Season 5. The tension runs high, at least for me. The real-time idea is really outstanding.

My wife got hooked on 24. She went through all of the seasons. I think she's still seeking some sort of resolution to it all. In the meantime,the episodes keeps her interest up, wondering what Jack will do next. I've never gotten into it.

I haven't watched every episode since the beginning, but every episode I have seen has been one of gripping drama that made me want to see the next episode.

Like the show everytime I see it, wish I was home often enough to see the shows I like.

I like that show. This is the first season that I've been missing it.

I thought season 5 was terrific especially toward the end with the weak Vice President and his wife; I believe they were both nominated for acting awards. Season 6 was pretty good, but I started to get tired of the whole "ticking clock" thing and the perpetual state of anxiety surrounding Jack Bauer. I watched the first few episodes of this season (7) and decided I had better things to do than get nervous about what's up with Jack and the fate of the free world. IMHO, Kiefer's gig has just about run its course -- at least as far as I'm concerned.

I've watched "24" from the beginning. Will continue to do the same. Miles Davis once offered a retort to a question posed to him with a question of his own, "Compared to what?" Lots of drivel out there in TV Land. "24" at least has an edge to it and holds my attention. Just my dos centavos' worth. Over 'n out.......Goofyfoot.

I have been a die-hard fan since Season 1, Episode 1, aired all those many years ago. At that time, the premise of every event unfolding in real time was intriguing enough to make me tune in, and I was hooked! I got a friend hooked on it two or three years ago and watched the first five seasons (again) with him on DVD. I also got my sister hooked on it (Season 3 or 4 IIRC), so she borrowed the DVDs and watched it from the beginning to catch up.
Although it does seem to be showing its age, it's far better than a lot of the dreck on network television these days.

I am kind of irritated with digital television because now we actually get all of these channels that weren't coming in before and shows like this are entering our consciousness. I may have to ban myself from watching it so I don't get sucked in. I also find I am actually beginning to like the show House. I am very afraid.

I've watched 24 since the 1st season. It has lost it's way here and there but generally is a great show......this season has been one of the better IMO. It is TV so suspension of belief comes with the territory.

24 Thinks Slumdog Millionaire Star Is on the Money

Who wants to cast a Slumdog Millionaire star? 24 does.
Fox's hit drama has announced that Anil Kapoor, who played game show host Prem Kumar on the Oscars-winning indie, will be a part of the cast for Season 8, premiering in early 2010. Just last week, 24 star Kiefer Sutherland announced his plan to stick around for at least one more of Jack Bauer's very bad days.
In Season 8, Kapoor will play a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the U.S. on a peacemaking mission.
24's current "day" continues this Monday at 9 pm/ET, with the FBI engaging in a standoff against Starkwood's private military. The two-hour Season 7 finale is slated to air Monday, May 18.

I am up to Season 5 (perhaps one of the best so far) with the hope of getting caught up soon. I confess to getting fairly tense if I watch several of these episodes in a row.
