What 500k Pots? Or do I go 1meg?

Hey all!
I've decided to try replacing the pots in my 650. Things are a bit muddy/lifeless, and I've read that this will help.
I was wondering: with the Rickenbacker humbuckers, will 500k or 1meg pots be better (or will they show much difference)?
Hoping to add a little more sparkle...I know that by the nature of the 650 and the HBs, I won't get 300-series jangle, but that's okay :)
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Austin
500k pots turned my toasters in to clanky ice picks, yet did very little to my HB-1s. If you put a treble bleed/bypass on your volume pot, when you turn it down slightly you can brighten up the pickup and de-mud it a little. Telecasters have this feature on thier volume pots, and I've wired my Les Paul Custom like that. You may have to change the wiring a little on your Rick to do it, but there are a zillion schematics and diagrams out there to help. It's just a .002 capacitor on the volume pot. Some add a 150meg resistor to it as well. Good luck.
