New Catfish Hodge material on my MySpace page

Post by peewee »

Hi y'all,

For anyone interested, I've uploaded two new songs with The Catfish Hodge Band on my MySpace page. These tracks were recorded live at the Great Eastern Blues Festival in McGaheysville, VA on August 7th, 2004. They were eventually used for 'Fish's 2005 release Communication on Chicken Legs Music. We had no idea that tape was rolling and what you'll hear is the band in action with our usual lineup from 2003 until 2006. Most everything is improvised around a skeleton arrangement. You'll also hear Catfish make reference to some of the other artists that were on this bill such as Walter Trout, Roger "Hurricane" Wilson and Michael Burks in his lyrics. The two tracks are Let's Make It, an old John Lee Hooker song that's been completely revved up for this show and a Catfish original, Move Out To The Country, that showcases The Fishman in his element; a slow, heartfelt, Blues. Not the greatest audio, but you'll get the idea.

The Catfish Hodge Band: Catfish Hodge (vocals), Cleve Wehle (keys), Gary Crockett (drums), Tommy Hannigan (bass) and myself on guitar.

Hope that you enjoy these tracks and please feel free to comment if you so wish! Thanks!

Mike
