They pick Loverboy but not Gordon Lightfoot? Strange choices, but no argument with some. The list just needs to be longer.

I wonder why they did not mention some of the other successful acts? Here's a short (almost alphabetical) list of some of the most famous Canadian artists in North America:
The Band, Chilliwack, Michael Bublé, David Clayton-Thomas, Holly Cole, Céline Dion, Denny Doherty, Jerry Doucette, The Headpins, Jeff Healey, Colin James, Steppenwolf, Moe Koffman, Diana Krall, Chantal Kreviazuk, Nickelback, K.D. Lang, Avril Lavigne, Amanda Marshall, Kim Mitchell, Alanis Morissette, Anne Murray, Alannah Myles, Bif Naked, Nelly Furtado, Pat Travers, Shania Twain etc to name but a few.
Even though I don't necessarily like all of the above artists, I think Canada has produced some great acts and this is just my way of saying thanks guys and girls for sharing your music with us.
I quite like TPC - best thing to come out of Newmarket since Glass Tiger!

Glass Tiger's lead singer Alan Frew was born in Scotland, but emigrated to Canada when he was a kid. His family lived in Newmarket where Glass Tiger was formed (and whose original name was, interestingly, "Tokyo").

Nope.
They're from Scotland.
Just like haggis - bland but somehow repulsive.
Scottish.
