More like scream!

Strange that he keeps skipping between 1st & 3rd person in his description...eh, whatevs.

As for the guitar.....not so bad, nothing a new pickguard and some wire cutters wouldn't solve. It'd be a nice player for the money.

Those MIM and CIJ 60's Standard Tele's really move me...I've never played one, let alone seen one, but I'd love to. I could nail any tone I wanted to with it!

I'd actually reccomend a mid 80's MIJ telecaster. This was during the period when the Japanese stuff was a higher quality than what they were making in the US. You can still pick them up for cheap, too (< $600 ).

My personal fave (which is also one of the best guitars I own)- the '62 double bound Reissues--made in 1984, I think:

Nice Scott!

Lovely guitars, eh? I used to have at least one guy a week trying to buy it when I used to gig. Great value-for-money.

Collin -- can your Tele Custom nail the tone of "Substitute"? I heard Pete used a Tele on that track...

I had one of those ,a sunburst 62 MIJ from 1988.
I put SD 48 Broadcaster pickups on it ,sounded brill! Sadly i sold it ,stupid mistake that!
My cousin just bought a Candy red one last year, he also has a sunburst, cool little guitars.

hmm, I guess I could.....to be honest, I haven't really tried. There's more factors in there than just the guitar, though..

Who stuff goes on the Rose Morris....that's just the way it is.

I hear ya! I used to have a sunburst as well, matching to the same month as my black '62 RI. Regrettably sold it awhile back.

Plus, since many of these tele reissues are 20-25 years old, they already have real honest mojo/relic. Mine certainly have..
