I've heard it said that Buck Owens had links to Rickenbacker, even that he played a Lightshow, but I'm unable to come up with any images or clips. Can anybody help me out?

IIRC, there is a photo of Buck with a Rick mandolin in the color section of the Smith book.

There's one in our archives, I know it. Buck is wearing a pink (!) windbreaker in it!

I actually had a really weird nightmare the night before last that I was working at RIC; it was my first day and I was put in the position of soldering all of the pots and circuitry together, but no one bothered to give me the schematics. It was kind of like that scene from I Love Lucy where she's in the candy factory...

Does this count?

And today in Santa Ana, a man was fired for double binding guitars at the Rickenbacker factory-film at 11.

I thought you meant Peter Buck. I'm pretty sure there are lots of pictures of him with a Rick.
