Normal calls get two short rings repeated, Euro-style. JD's family get special tones, nothing fancy mind you. I never answer the phone so I don't really mind how it rings, just wish it would be
quiet about it.
I find the whole mess annoying in public, too. Bah!

Same here, Paul.
I hate getting a new phone with obnoxious ringtones as defaults and I have to go looking at every single ringtone the phone has, even after finding the "Classic" phone tone I'm looking for.
I figure if I'm already looking and subjecting my ears to such sorrow that I can at least hope there's
one good ringtone on the phone by default.
The worst part is that I always fail at finding a decent one...

(damn song ringtones....! The phone is fer ringing, not singing!)
My old simple ringtone was Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, which always got some laughs at the post office or wherever...

Mine also just rings.
Well its about 8 years old ,doesn't have a camera, mp3 player,interweb,3g, jeez, it doesn't even have a colour screen!
It's just a phone,which is all i want, i'll buy another when it stops working!
