Call it irony, sarcasm, tongue-in-cheek, nod, nod, nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Who's kidding whom here, I wonder? Let's share our favorite sarcastic, witty, and otherwise covertly or subtly funny rock lyrics. Remember, this is about lyrics, not just funny videos. Thanks for playiing.
White Punks on Dope....wow, I haven't thought about that song for a long time. They lived just up the street from you didn't they Kira?
And speaking of "tongue in cheek" lyrics......

Yes, I grew up in the smoke and vapor trail of The Tubes. Loved 'em madly even after they went lala. They were just too extreme, funnier than Monty Python in their prime.
Yeah, them, the Airplane, the Dead, Carlos, and many more stars are from my area and I've seen them all, of course, and met most of them too. But not Fee. Gotta love Fee.

I would think that Fee Waybill is the definition of a "character."

Oh gosh, that's putting it mildly. The Tubes never made a dime on their road work because of the cost of Fee's elaborate stage presentations. Too many, too much, and too funny to describe. That's why they "sold out", as Fee plainly admitted.

Oh yes, The Tubes! One of the finest bands the USA has ever produced...you know, they're from Phoenix originally. I used to go and hang out by the back doors of venues when they were playing (due to my underage status - sometimes it was high school dances!). They were the best band in Phoenix...they were called 'The Beans' back then...I won't say anything more, because I can't say enough...
Except: Prairie Prince is a god...
