Wow, I don't even see how that article made it in 1955. I particularly liked the line,
Don't complain if he's home late for dinner, or stays out all night. There wouldn't be any complaining at my house if I stayed out all night, because I wouldn't be allowed back home to hear any complaining.

Bringing the thread full circle.
Happy mothers day to all who have toiled and slaved in the kitchen to provide their family the best of fare and to those who work outside the family home to bring extra income into the family coffers and let's not forget the hardest chore of all............raising our children to be decent human beings and to show respect and common courtesy to all mankind.
I tip my hat to you because yours is a job that never ends.

On behalf of all the mothers on the board, I'd like to thank you all and especially Brian for that thoughtful and touching prose. I expect the Moms are all just too busy enjoying their well-earned spoils of the day to get online.
