I'm looking for 12 string songs besides the usual Byrds, Beatles and Petty. I've found Passionate Kisses (Mary Chapin Carpenter), the Break Up Song (Greg Kihn) and The Killing Moon (Echo and the Bunnymen) on the Forum. I'd love some new material.

Plimsouls-"Million Miles Away"
Almost anything by the Mod bands "Squire" and the "Chords"
Of course any "Who", "Animals" stuff from their first couple of albums.
Even the "Ramones" used them on "I want you around", "My my Kind of a girl","Garden of Serenity", and one more I can't remember(I just woke up, cut me some slack ).
As Rick crazy as they were, I'm sure the "Romantics" used a 12 somewhere on those first few records.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

The song that I have been working on is I NEED YOU from the soundtrack to THAT THING YOU DO... It has a great 12 string part...
"He Doesn't Love You Like I Do"-Nick Heyward (`95): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNGV2nbiLhY
* It sounds better if you play it faster than Nick does-that's what my band does.
There are lots of Smiths songs you could play as well, but Johnny Marr uses a lot of capo and alternate tunings, though I think he just does the alternate tunings with his six string guitars.
There are a few more for you anyway.

I often catch myself looking in different directions for new material, probably because I'm not schooled as a rocker. But how about:
Blues:
St. James Infirmary
James Alley Blues (OK so these were covered by Roger McGuinn on his "Limited Edition" CD) Still pretty effective.
Country:
One Step Forward by the Desert Rose Band features a Rick
Rock:
Try "Ramblin' Man" by the Allman Brothers
Speaking of the Allman Brothers, I'd love to hear "Jessica" done on a Rick 12.

Oh, how could I forget, just about every song by the "Move" features a 12 string, electric and acoustics. "Fields of People" off of the "Shazam" album has some wonderfull work. If Roy Wood had used a Rick instead of a Fender, I'm sure he would be one of the top artists mentioned on this forum.
Also, "Dance the Night Away" by Cream has some great work as well. The first couple of "Love" albums feature some cool stuff too.

"Carrie Ann" by the Hollies sounds like the rhythm part would be fun to play on a 12-string.

It’s My Life - The Animals
Get Together – The Youngbloods
Somebody to Love – Jefferson Airplane
