i dont know if anyone else was a fan, but I really liked listening to Wayman. He lost his fight with cancer at age 44.

Wayman was a real nice guy, always smiling and loved to talk about his music. We worked with Wayman over the years we have been in business, and I always enjoyed working with him. He was like a gentle giant, He is a great loss not only to his family and friends and the Basketball Arena but his Musical contribution, He was a very talented Bass player mainly Jazz influenced, and always experimenting with different sounds and techniques.
I know that we at Morris and Holmberg Cases will miss him R.I.P. Wayman

Real sad.

He got a lot of playing time on our local jazz station, was a real nice bass player and was in the area often, the last time just a couple of weeks ago.

A class act by all accounts.

Peace.

Man, that is terrible news. I guess little was known of his cancer while he was battling it, what a terrible loss.

I met Wayman once, with Bob Morris at the NAMM show. I only talked to the man for a few minutes, but I remember thinking that the only thing bigger than the man himself (and he was BIG!!) was his huge smile and stellar personality. Just a really friendly, warm guy. My condolences to his family and friends- what a terrible loss.

Man that is sad news. Cancer is just such a terrible disease, it doesn't care who you are or how old.

My sincerest condolences to his family, friends and fans.

He was a real fixture here in Phoenix where he was a starter with the Phoenix Suns. A terrific left-handed bass player with alust for Jazz. Nice guy. He will be missed.

Great hoops player. Sublime musician. Salt of the earth and a class act as a person. His life journey ended far too early but the contributions he made to humanity will endure. I will not forget you, Wayman. Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.
