My wife is insisting I buy another 4001/4003. I know they are out there but is Rickenbacker coming out with a new model or is that just a new replacement for the C64 series ?

If they come out with something new, it's not likely you'll be able to get it in your hands in the near future. Look for a pre '74 4001, surely there are deals to be had on "golden age" 4001's right about now.

OK, is this a joke? Where's the camera?
I would think there are deals to be had. Many of the best dealers have 4003s and the selling price will be based on what they paid for the instrument at the time they ordered it, as opposed to reflecting the current list price.
