I'm looking for a Lefty 4002, if one even exists, anyone ever come across one?

Do you prefer Walnut or Mapleglo? Fretted or fretless?


No, seriously, I've never heard of one, you're lucky if you can get a righty. But with RIC, never say never.

Maybe you could have a luthier build you something similar to a 4002 in terms of construction ideas, without violating trademark or whatever. The 4002 was a very well designed bass, down to the choice of wood, pickup placement, and the wiring harness.

Or better yet, get a talented luthier to build you something similar to a 4002 out of a 4003 or a 4001. Then you wouldn't be infringing.

There was one for sale on Ebay France a couple of years ago (it didn't meet its reserve) so they are out there.
