Did a demo of this Carole King classic today with local up-and-coming singer Katelyn Merrill (she would kill me if she knew I posted a demo of her somewhere!). I played everything, including a '59 335 Capri with a suitably dated Leslie effect and a '66 4005WB, both through a '66 Ampeg Gemini II. Enjoy!

Worked for me. Cool sound! Katelyn has a nice voice... The Ric components come thru nicely.

John, nice arrangement, a pleasurable listen all way around.
IIRC, the original didn't have much of a guitar part in it. I like what you did with the Leslie effect. Liked the bass work, too.
Nice energy in this old chestnut of a song! (I remember playing this in 1973, so there!)

Sorry Brian! I would be happy to email it to you if you're keen to hear it.
Thanks Ron! You're right, not much guitar on the original (just a very short solo) and certainly no Leslie either, but it seemed to be a fashionable guitar "treatment" circa 1970. And why not!

I was aiming for a Steely Dan vibe on the solo stuff.
