My New Amps!

I've been posting the following around cyber space so want to share here also...I'm totally smitten with these amps..
If anyone has been considering a new amp please check out the Gomez line. I never thought I'd part with my vintage gear but his G-Spring reverb unit sounds better and is better built than any of the originals (many) that I've owned. I cleaned house and now play their El Sonido for small to medium gigs and their Surfer for larger shows. If this sounds like testimonial it is..great stuff and once these amps get discovered by a larger audience the wait for one is going to be long..I'm not being paid for this endorsement but I am thrilled with my Gomez amps (they are the only ones I use now for shows and recording) and want to spread the word...
www.gomezamps.com they are also on my space....

kenposurf.....Hmmm, Gomez Amps is just south of me in Rancho Santa Margarita (Orange County), California. Website advisory from early June says the shop will be closed till 2010. Man, that's a pair of expensive heads! Are you playing through their cabs? Regards.....Goofyfoot.

Dario's amps are not inexpensive but have to consider the base cost of a vintage head and also the cost to make the head roadworthy.
The Surfer (Dual Showman) has the "Brownface" circuit the most sought after version. A vintage Brownface w/cab can hit your pocketbook for 5k and you still may need to have it tuned up.
The El Sonido is based on the early Bassman circuit ...a couple of years ago I sold an early Bassman head and cab for just under 3k.
I play a 2 12 Gomez cab with the El Sonido and I have a 2 15 Fender cab I had recovered to match the Surfer.
The Gomez G-Spring outboard reverb is magic,,and at the cost of the Fender reissues a bargain.
I just sent Dario some studio clips made w/the El Sonido to be posted on his website...unless he changes his mind :'-)..
Actually he's great to work with and builds one...ahh two hell of an amp(s).
Gomez is closed until he finishes his builds from the last batch of orders, but I believe he has one El Sonido and matching G-Spring you can nab if you hurry...

Walter Woods does the same thing.

kenposurf.......Many thanks for your 411. The El Sonido + Celestion V30 cab would be the ideal setup for me. But alas, emptied out everything that rattled in my piggy bank and, uuuhh-errr, came up a skosh short. But I'm-a-gonna keep an eye on one. Played a friend of a friend's El Sonido and it was siiiiick. Forget if it was a Gomez cab or a Mesa/Boogie Thiele cab with the legendary 200w EVM-12L. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to share some more info, brah. I'd say you are set for the long-term. Best regards.......Goofyfoot.
