"My Back Pages"

The sound of Roger's Rickenbacker on "My Back Pages" doesn't sound like it normally did in '65-'67...Roger sounded to be using a different effect instead of compression...like a sort of flange, if you will.

I don't think so. Although I only have the boxed set "There Is A Season" it sounds to me like his Rick was recorded pretty straight. The guitar solo sounds like it was overdubbed to me. And a healthy dose of compression added to make that G string course really ring out.
