I would presume that we all have heard at one time or another The Shadows' instrumental Apache. It wasn't until tonight that I heard the words to the song.

BTW, if you didn't know, Sonny James is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Where are the words? Di yo embed a different version by mistake? I didn't hear any lyrics, though the porkpie hat was a cool stylistic touch, as was the bassist's removing the cigarette from his instrument's headstock, taking a couple of drags, blowing smoke, and returning the cigarette to its perch amidst the tuners.

Interesting the voal version never heard it till now, but the credits state Jeery Lordan-Johnny Flemings so one assumes the latter wrote the lyrics.

I'll stick with The Shads!

And here all along I've been under the impression that Jordan Ingmann's version was/is the definitive "Apache". Mike in Texas
