I couldn't agree more.

It's missing half of the one characteristic that would make this a rare or desireable part.....now it's just a half-clear piece of 50 year old plexi.

Stoooopid price, eh?

The range of years he uses is not correct either.

I've got five or six of these in my bin. I'd better bump my insurance coverage!

This is an offering of the Guitar Broker (Fla) ebay store. He is not that big into Ricks so he may be under the impression that the value of a funky old Rick guard is roughly equal to the value of a funky old 61 strat green nitro guard.

Ron, he has been in the buisness for many years and has had many many rare Rickenbackers pass through his hands. He knows them pretty well. He can't get ahold of them like he used to.

He like others is quite into collecting greenbacks even more, and I'd say that has more to do with the listing.

With the 5th knob hole, it would have to be a mid year '60 - '63. Basically worthless with all of the edge sanding done to it.
