Many here for sure, but started thinking about bands that had more then one generation in the lineup...
Start with:
Pop Staples/Mavis Staples
Ed Cassidy (drummer for spirit and step father to Randy California)

Can we count this one? I'm sure that George is in there, somewhere, but invisible. I can almost hear him.

Man,

I just LOVE that Staple Singers Song, I have it on my Ipod can just listen to that simple but oh so tasty bass line forever.

I wrote to the studio musician a few years back. He told me he played a 62 Jazz clean into the board......LOVE THAT TONE TOO!

I'll get shot for posting this (and publicly stating that I love this song).

This one has the whole family! :

Although, The Cowsills don't exactly fit the Father's day bill, as it was their mother that was in the band.

Thats what I always loved about not only the way Joe Osborn played but his sound and tone, and he played on alot of records with alot of people, Joe used a 60's stacked knob Jazz Bass, between him and James Jamerson, they probibly played on more hits than any other bassest in the recording industry.
