My bridge saddles pop

I love my new 4003, but when I play semi aggressively by the bridge pickup with my fingers, the saddles give a popping sound. This is from the saddles slightly moving with the string, then retracting quickly when I let go of the string. Is there anything I can do for this instead of buying a Hipshot? It's really annoying.

Send it to Dane Wilder. He should be able to fix it. I agree that it's annoying. Dane might even be able to send you one in advance so that your bass isn't out of commission.

What year is the bass? Surely not a 2009... the bridge on my 2009 is solid as a rock. I did have a 2007, though, that had this problem, which eventually led me to Dane Wilder. I use his modded bridge now. I have a review written but so far I haven't been able to take any worth photos of it.

Yeah, its a 2009. The bridge itself is fine, but the little floating saddle thing is giving me a problem. I guess I could just buy one of those instead of a whole new bridge.

Why don't you just ask RIC to give you some new saddles? If you have warranty anyways. Then you could get it back into shape. I am actually still in the process of getting my 2007 back to 100% speed in just this way--just haven't gotten the saddles yet.

You'll need to file them yourself.
