John Lennons Hofner Senator Guitar sold, at a Christie's auction, for $ 334,000.00 - wow...

I wonder if that means that the Club 40 JL reissues will increase in value?

Here's a neat website (lots of pics) on vintage Hofners, including the original Senator and Club 40 models and their annual variations:
I think not. The basis for the sale is an original Hofner used by John Lennon. Memorabilia collectors have no interest in reissues. I wonder what the letter by Harrison said. That was the determining factor in that sale.
Leprosy is rare & scarce but nobody wants that!

Besdies they are pretty expensive to begin with.
