error messages as moderator

Being moderator of the Dutch Chapter I got following error while deleting old and not really informative postings:
1) go to a posting in the forum of which I am moderator (dutch chapter)
2) choose "moderator control panel"
3) go to select desired action pull down menu somewhere on the bottom
4) choose "delete posts" and "submit"
5) get a "Are you sure you want to delete these posts?" message and choose "yes"
6) I see a message I was not fast enough to copy/paste
7) I now see message which tells:
"
General Error
Module not accessible
Please notify the board administrator or webmaster:
[email protected]
"
The message I wanted to remove seems indeed to be removed.

Bert PM Gil with your question.

Bert: I suspect that this is a temporary server error which we have seen occasionally before. Have you seen it again? Brain is spot on, Gil is our best resource for an explanation. On the surface the error suggests that a routine was being called that was not available at the time you made the demand. Yet, your edit was successful. Gil?

Maybe it is because the phpbb wants to go back to the last used topic (which I just deleted).

Hi,
I did some research and it looks that it has something to do with the permissions we had for the moderators (according to some information I found online there is a problem when you mix certain permissions (like letting a moderator the permissions to delete a topic in a specific forum but not to view the forum itself, this is not our case, obviously, but I guess something in our permissions setup is wrong, phpBB should have been nicer and given us a nicer error message.
I am wondering what was that message you didn't manage to copy, do you remember a part of it? are you sure it was an error message and not a simple page redirect (phpbb loves page redirects, like the one you get after you post a message...)
I'll look at the permissions configuration this weekend.

I'm perfectly happy with the explanation I gave above.
But if you want to get into this you can just become me, make a test topic in the dutch chapter, maybe add replies to it, and follow the steps I described above. Maybe you can do some realtime logfile analyzing then also which could help finding an answer. If you need to change my password for this, than please mail me my new one.

Hi,
For some reason, I didn't see any error message, does it still happen to you?

It does. I just tried twice. Must be something in my account then as I saw you tested on your own account. (I get mail from every posting in the Dutch Chapter including the one you deleted.

)
It's no big deal for me I must say.

When I deleted the post I used your user's permissions to do it (a sort of a phpbb "su"

)
Can you please send me the other error you see before the "general error" one (the one you describe in #6).
Thanks.

Tommorow I hope. I tried captioning it with the default osx screenshot thing but I wasnt fast enough. It's too late now (0:30 and I get up at 06:00). Tomorrow I will try to find an easier screen capture program.
Thanks!

Unix sysadmin that gets up at 6am??? something is wrong here

Our kind normally doesn't wake up before 9am, stay up until 6am - sure, but waking up at 6am?
Anyways - try gimp for osx, it has a nice screen capture feature.

Well, at least I wake up the same day as I go to bed. Thats something isnt it?
I made a movie instead of a screenshot so that you can see exactly how I get to the error. The dissappearing screen is not an error I noticed now. You can find it
here.

That's wired, I'll check it out with phpbb3 support forums.
Thanks!
P.S - if it's okay with you - please leave the movie online for the time being.

As long as it doesnt do more than 10 Mbps I'm fine. Just let me know when I can delete it.
