The pics are pretty dark..The guitar's colors are actually quite a bit lighter and more transparent than depicted.

There's another thread in "Online Sightings;" but yes, it's quite nice. I'm in the market for a guitar, but this would be a speacialty item for me, so no dice. Really sweet, though.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?
Re: Ric outlet Aqua Marine Experimental
I didn't see that thread.. Calling an admin .. please remove this thread. I think i is redundant to have online sighings as well as for sale. Unless online sightings are not for sale. maybe ther should be eBay sightings then craigslist sightings then gbase sightings.
Re: Rickenbacker 660/12 Aqua Marine Experimental Model
Glad to hear that, I couldn't imagine it really looking like the pics!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

It's a beauty IMO.

It totally makes sense.
The "For Sale" section offers forum members a chance to sell their gear online and not have their thread buried by subsequent threads about gear spotted elsewhere online.
Sometime last year, we all came to the consensus that a new forum was necessary to give both the forum in general a place to post and talk about guitars in "the market" outside of the RRF, and to give forum members here maximum exposure when posting a for-sale thread.
I would have thought that the term "online sightings" would be viewed as obviously including Ebay, Gbase, CL etc.......right?

That one is just bad a**! I like it!
Just noticed it was a 660. Darn. I like the thinner necks, lol!

That is some beautifully figured wood. Experimental COY?

Imagine that finish on an equally figured 381 !
That--I would like to see.

I merged some posts on the same topic from the For Sale section rather than deleting the the duplicate topic. Just in case anyone is wondering why there are two different titles in evidence.

To me, it looks sort of amber/brownish in the middle, fading to a bluish black at the edges, not really what I'd call "Aqua marine". Does it look more aqua to other folks? Maybe I need to recalibrate my monitors...
I guess it depends on your local Aqua Marine (!).
Beaches around here look closer to that brownish green color than bright blue/green.
That's what I was thinking! That one would fit the water colour on the Kent coast where I grew up. That's not your Gulf Of Mexico shade of AQM.
Transparent Olive possibly?
All that aside, an elegant looking guitar, with beautiful wood and appointments.
