I Love This Song Please Tell Me About It

Post by admin »

Sheena: Could I have a very brief translation of this great number that is sung with such passion.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

OMG. Sorry, Peter — with all respect due, this one definitely has nothing to do with protest or anti-establishment. I'm not telling it isn't nice but compared to this one, even Sekret sounds like true punk. Not that i mind, just to explain the situation.
Translation (an attempt at).

I don't believe you
M:
Too dark in the room, way too dark...
Too much emptiness, i've become one too many.
No way to run, you've had time
To tell me all you wanted to.

F:
A wind outside the window, as usually,
Drifts the clouds as if [he's been doing that] with the help of a match,
The sun will be lighting the sky,
And there'll be the day where you haven't been.

Both:
You're looking me in the eye,
What a long time for lies!
It's easier to say it -
That love was a fire-fight of souls,
I'm bored!

Refrain:
I don't believe you,
You're a dream of yesterday
Predicting tears to me.
I don't believe you,
You're a past winter's snow that's melted long ago.
I don't believe you,
You're a sun drowned in cold water,
I don't believe you,
You're everything i've had
But i don't believe you.

F:
Our birds have hidden themselves in the forest.
Rip up the time, burn the pages
Telling about us,
Where i've managed to become your infinite yearning.
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

WOW! What a song. It's powerful and soulful and yet it is so soothing at the same time. I love it. This is going to be my favourite foreign language song for quite a while I can tell that already. It's definitely not punk though. :D

Yeah......... I like it too! Love the bass tone and where it is in the mix.... simple - just right IMO and adds to the power of the song.

Now I know what "I don't believe you" is in Russian!! :D :D

Sheena: Thanks, now I love it even more. Sorry about the poor choice for this forum. I will consider it Russian Rock and Roll for the time being and have moved it to It's Only Rock 'n Roll, But I Like It.
