It must be a sibling of your bass for it has stamped April 24 1966 under the pickup. The serial number is 5493H22 stamped inside. It's in great condition and appears all original. I found it in a maw & paw music store in a small town for $400. Must have been a closet dweller. As you may know, these basses take standard 34" long scale strings even though they are short scale.

The toggle switch doesn't do much, which seems to be a common problem with these old basses but it's got the deep fat bottom. I don't want to mess with it unless I'm sure something really does need fixed. Do you have an idea of the toggle switch wiring and true intended function of it? There's suppose to be 2 caps on it and it appears to bypass the tone pot in one of the two positions.

I have a slightly out-of-focus pic of it on disc but really don't know how to post the pic here. LOL!
