Storing without strings for a week

Hello All,
I have taken my strings off the bass and I'm leaning it against a chair sort of propped up at an angle with the neck resting on the chair back. Is this OK or should I store it in the tree where it hangs by the neck while I'm waiting for my part to come in? Should I release the tension on the truss rods, too? I really don't want this neck to warp. :?: :?: :?: :? :? :?

Thanks

I'd release the truss rod tension, just to be on the safe side!

Does that mean to completely loosen the truss rod or just a little bit?

Well, That's a moot point. Truss rods will not budge.   :!:

Just loosen the nuts, don't remove the rods. And if the nuts won't budge, use the correct tool--a 1/4" long-handled nut driver.

I have the 1/4" socket but the drive handle is short. My 1"4' socket was too big. Thanks

Get a long handle nut driver like RIC sells. The Xcelite L8.

John's right on that. Still, you might have to thin the socket ed on a grinder till it's easier to get onto a Rick truss rod nut. Mine is nice and thin and works to get at even embedded knucklehead bass nuts (EKBNs)

EKBNs - is that patented??!!

Jeez, thinking about it, that would describe most of us on the Bass forum... :)
