My Rick Almost Takes A Dive

Last night, halfway through the last set, I turned around just as my amp fell off it's floor stand, almost taking my 330-12 with it.
Luckily, I caught the Rick as the amp hit the floor. I don't know what made me turn around at that precise moment, but I'm thankful I did. The guitar gods were looking over me, I guess. Ricky might have been in two pieces if I hadn't caught it.
I took a minute to get everything back together, but the fall had spilled my drink all over the floor, so I spent the last seven songs playing on a wet floor. Not smart. I should have cleaned that up before starting again.
In any event, Rick and I got through the gig unscathed.
Close call, though.

Seen that happen more times than once. A waste of good beer, too. So, in one band I used to play in, after such an incident we banned all drinks from stage. It kept our fiddles, banjos, guitars and their cases much, much drier.

Actually, it was seltzer, not beer. I never drink on a gig. I rarely drink at all, to be honest.
Yeah, it was frightening, to say the least.
I just ordered one of those Stagg suitcase style stands that holds six guitars, so I'll be able to keep them all together on the side of the stage and hopefully, out of harm's way.

Doesn't matter if you drink a beer or ten, or spill them on the banjo, it's bound to improve the sound...

OK, you go spill your beer on your banjo. I'll watch!

You could probably get a prescription from the doctor to clear that up...

The last few songs must have been electrifying.
