Jim: How time flies. To think that David Crosby will be 70 before we know it.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

And Roger's 67, Chris is past 60, as is Gene Parsons...These facts alternately inspire me to keep on playing, gigging, and teaching, and then remind me all to concretely of my own mortality.

Mention was made elsewhere that so many of the rockers that really made a difference and brought so many rapid changes to the music were all born between 1940-45 (or maybe as early as '39). They came of age just as recording technology was rapidly changing and developing, and indeed by their creative genius, spurred more change and innovation in the recording industry. I don't know that we'll ever see the like of that WWII-born generation in music again.

Yup. Grace Slick will be 70 next month. (!)

And Jorma Kaukonen will be 70 a year from December.

Ouch.
