Will do. Have thought about retiring the Hiwatt from live use. Always terrified it might go missing one night. Have been thinking about the Chinese AC30 reissues.

A Reeves would be great but I'm trying to get a cheaper combo that would be easier to replace if it were stolen. Have been looking at the VoxAC30CC (weighing in at 70lbs!) and the AC15CC (not sure if it has enough power in a three piece.)

Anyone have any other ideas?

How about a Fender Super Reverb Amp? That should be loud enough, sound good, and not be too heavy, I think.

I have Super Rev RI and and an AC30 CC2X, among other AC30s. I'd say go for the CC2X; the weight issue isn't that big of a deal; I carry mine around all the time and don't even think about it. The Super Rev isn't much lighter, and it's cabinet shape is a bit more awkward to deal with IMO, as much as I like the amp. You can also buy an AC30 Head/combo piggyback unit. I think your sound will be easier to dial in with the AC30. I highly recommend completing a tube upgrade if you buy one, and if possible, order yours from North Coast Music; the prices are great, and they bench test the amps before they sell them, as well as install a speaker jack, as opposed to the factory hard-wired speakers. The speaker jack makes amp maintenance a lot easier, as the hard wired speaker leads are too short to slide out the chassis for tube replacement. I completed this mod myself on my CC2X yesterday. :D

I keep thinking if I go with anything else but an AC30 I'll just wish I had gotten an AC30. I noticed online a local store that has a new AC30cc1. They didn't list a price but that may be a "lighter option".

There's an EL84 Traynor combo where we rehearse, it's actually a great sounding amp. I think they're still made in Canada and you can pick one up used at a third of the price of an AC30. I always mock women for spending thousands of dollars for a "name brand" purse, however I'm having issue with the Traynor badge! Would be way cooler to have that Vox diamond grillcloth behind me. :)

Thankfully I'm not in a rush to buy so I can take a little more time to make up my mind. If only I wasn't so impatient!
