Apparently Ted Weber of WeberVST passed yesterday while on a waiting list for a double lung transplant. He was one of the biggies in the industry today, and did as much for the common guy in many ways as did Leo Fender with his amp kits and excellent speakers. He will certainly be missed! Thankfully his son TA will continue to run WeberVST as he always has, so Ted's legacy will live on.

Greg: I am very sorry to hear this. I have had a number of communications with him over the years and his depth of knowledge was most impressive and his manner most attentive and professional. I had no idea of his illness. His tone will live on.

Wow, this news took my breath away as Mr. Weber was much the gentleman in my book. I pass along my sincere condolences to the family. My VOX AC-15 TBR sports a Weber Blue Dog speaker that has been faithful and reliable in every way possible. I will not forget him. Respectfully.....Goofyfoot.

While I was ordering a speaker over the phone - Ted took time to personally speak with me concerning my needs for the sound I was after. Very kind, and unusual in this day.
Godspeed

Sad news indeed. I was just speaking w/ Kurt Crandall and he told me that he just spoke w/ Ted two weeks ago when placing an order for a pair of hemp cone speakers. Just goes to show that one never knows when their number will be called. R.I.P., Ted and thanks for everything.
