An interesting article, Tony. I am not sure if time heals all wounds or time wounds all heals. One of thing I am confident, music is a healer and allows us to meet in the middle. Add to that the power of the Beatles and watch the gap disappear.

In 1964 my mother out of frustration said of their music, "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah." Today she says, they were sweet boys who sang some lovely music and gave us so many nice memories. Hey, there is hope for me yet.

My mother loved The Beatles when they first appeared on the scene by contrast and I am sure much to the dismay of some of her friends. In fact almost everyone who were members of the "older generation" in our family thought they were the best group ever. You know, I think they were on to something with that observation. :D

...But the only thing is that young people will know how to play a video game, and the old people who play a guitar rather than Rock Band will be thought of as 'uncool'..........

I really hope that it won't take away from kid's curiosity about real musical instruments.
