How Warranty Work Works

Hey all: I did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for, so my apologies if this has been dealt with in previous threads.

I bought a 650 Dakota from Pick of the RIcks a couple of weeks back, and there were some fingerboard issues, so I sent in my warraty card and got a return authorization # from Kenny Howes. According to FedEx, my guitar was delivered and accepted at RIC last Monday, Aug 24th. I included a return shipping address in the case, but I have not heard anything from RIC as to whether they have the guitar or agree that there is warranty work to be done.

I didn't want to pester Kenny, or other RIC staff, as I know they are busy, but I ask:

How should I go about ensuring that they are really looking at this and I'll be getting something back? What's the typical turn-around time?

Thanks all,

John

I think you have every right to 'pester', although I wouldn't call it pestering until or unless you make a nuisance of yourself. :)

Although I've never had reason to use Customer Service, based on several years of observation here, I'm absolutely sure they'll look after you.

Give them a call - there's really no reason for you not to.

Your guitar arrived on Monday, but there are some procedures our shipping people perform before it gets to me. I personally inspect all RA's and I addressed yours on Wednesday if I remember correctly. I believe it may have shipped back today, if not, it will ship Monday.

Doesn't get any better than that!

Well, maybe if it was hand delivered in a Rolls Royce by a stunning swimsuit model....

Thanks, Ben. Very nice to get a personal response.

But yeah, John A: if you're willing to pay the bill, I'd be willing to reap the benefit!
