You guys didn't miss out on much. This used to be mine, and it has a bunch of undisclosed issues. I offered it here with a full accounting of these issues at not much more than this price, and got no interest.

If someone here bought it, drop me a note and I'll describe the issues. Or do a search for my listing.

Shame ebay stopped listing info on buyers. The buyer of this bass should be warned. I recall Jake listing the numerous issues with this bass yet not a word from this seller.

The seller is not the person I traded the bass to a few months ago, so it's gone through at least one other pair of hands -- but the price it was sold for would seem to imply that this seller is aware of its issues. Otherwise, why not sell it for more?

Not that I want to be spending upwards of $2K on anything right now but if I were to trade/sell the 4003S/5 and get another Ric, this one probably would be it. But that's not happening anytime soon...

Seller seems familiar somehow...

The seller bought a white 2000 4003 bass from me back about 3 years ago. Seemed a straight up guy who knew his stuff and liked Ric basses.
