I have set this thread aside for a few youtube videos of blues musicians willing to share their chops with us. Here's a few to wet your whistle.

As you see from these videos less is definitely more. This kid has definitly got his chops together and he can only get better.

Feel free to add any others as you see fit.

Nice phrasing, but I do believe that he's a bit older than a kid, Brian! Just a wee bit on the hirsute side and wearing a wedding ring to boot -- my guess is late 20s or early 30s.

Even if he is in his 20's at that age he's a kid compared to me Mike.  He's pretty good though.

Here are some friends of mine that I regularly jam with playing some Really Slow Blues. While I know that I do not have the chops that they have, they keep inviting me back, again and again. :D :D :D

Thanks everyone for your contributions so far.............I cut my musical teeth on the blues and it is one of my true passions in life. I love all sorts of musical styles but the blues speaks to me in a way no other music quite does. It is filled with raw emotion when played well and it resonates in my soul and makes me feel so alive.

I am with you 100% on this and could not have stated it any better. Blues is like a first love that you can never really get out of your head.
