i've been searching, unsuccessfully, for a quality photograph of pete farndon with his black 4001 w/the black pick guard.

i remember him with it in the talk of the town video.

when i got mine back in 1980, i immediately took off the white pick guard, and made a duplicate of it out of clear plexiglass.
at a glance, it just looks all black, ... then when i saw pete with his, i got all re-jazzed about it.

the subject just came up and reminded me of his, and i did a google image search, but haven't been able to find a good photo, so far.

anyone?

ones, .. captured from the video on youtube

he definitely had a white one, or two, also.
the times i saw him, he was playing various hamers.

mine still looks like this, maybe someday i'll buy a stock black pick guard
