I was walking through a (very small) Wal Mart in Lockhart, Texas, and in the New Music Releases was an ADVANCE copy of the new "With the Beatles". I saw the mini-documentary, there's a little more than what "Anthology" tells about it. The new mixes are good (for some reason, I can hear Paul's bass louder than in the 1987 master), and all in all worth buying. While I'm in a *big* Mom and Pop music retailer, I'll see if they have copies of "Please Please Me", "Hard Day's Night" and "For Sale" in the back.

The 2009 remasters kick butt!

Jake, by "Advance" do you mean a promotional copy, as in "Not For Sale"?

I'll pop into my fav mom and pop shops that also carry bootlegs and see if they have any advance copies yet...

No, it was for sale, and not a bootleg.

If it was an "Advance" promotional copy, they shouldn't have sold it - you got lucky!

Is it a stock copy that just got sold early, or is it marked (on the case, inserts or disc) with "Promotional", "Advanced" or some other disclaimer (either printed or on a sticker)?

Trotty got lucky like that last November his last day in town with an advanced promo copy of "Stepbrothers"...
