Christine delivers this song so well it made me feel sad all over again that she left Fleetwood Mac. I just loved this beautiful ladies voice. To me she will always be a songbird and she will always be - Christine Perfect.

Thanks for listening.

I'm with you, Brian, one of my alltime favourite rock songs is You Make Loving Fun, a "perfect" song, chicken skin on that piano... :D

Agreed Brain,

I love the "Rumors" line up of Fleetwood Mac.

Some great tunes during that era.

Y'know, growing up, I had some of the early FM stuff (pre-Buckingham Nicks); then when B&N joined, I thought the band really exploded--I was big into Stevie Nicks' poetry, and well, other attributes, LOL....

Anyways, as I listened to them more and more, it was Christine's music that seemed to move me the most. I finally saw them in '97 up in DC, and really enjoyed the show. But like you, I'd be disappointed now if I were to see them with CM.

Back in the day it took me a while to realise that it was Christine's voice that I actually liked better between her and Stevie's. Like so many men I was struck with the visual of the band. She did not compete quite as well as Nicks on stage in that department when they first arrived on the scene, as this particular incarnation of Fleetwood Mac.

How strange is life? Christine has aged well and Stevie not quite so well. Christine is 67 and she has aged beautifully IMO but more importantly to me, she still has her voice and I would say that it actually got better with age.

I always really liked her songs from before the B-N era, back in the mid 70s.... ones like Spare Me a Little of Your Love, Why, Remember Me and Come a Little Bit Closer. Seems a lot of her "sad" themed love songs were prompted from her rocky relationshp with then husband John McVie...

Two rock and roll piano tunes of hers I also like are Dissatisfied from "Penguin" album and Morning Rain from "Futue Games". Her rock and roll keyboards work brought out some tasteful guitar licks from Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch and Bob Weston over the several incarnations of the band. I guess after almost 36+ years of being on the road with touring, she hung up her saddle and took a rest .

Christine is 67 now? Jeez. I always loved her voice and more than that, she's such a beautiful woman. Very sexy. She made a ton of money, obviously, and decided didn't need Fleetwod Mac anymore. Good for her.

Well, I finally located a Christine McVie - Fleetwood Mac video from that great 1970's era when Bob Welch was in the band. She has a sweet voice and has always been a great song writer....

More 1970s nostalgia 8) with Christine McVie and Fleetwood Mac ...

Here's another You Tube from "Midnight Special" in 1973 with Christine and the band doing a couple of tunes from the "Mystery to Me" album. This incarnation of Fleetwood Mac has both Bob Welch and Bob Weston on guitars.... There is a bit of a story behind Bob Weston, that Mick Fleetwood has put into the several biographical writings he has done about his years in Fleetwood Mac.... but say what you will about who was sleeping with who in the band, Bob Weston was a pretty good guitarist....

Rock historians may recall that Mick was married to the sister of Patti Boyd .... yes, the Patti Boyd, so that makes George Harrison to be Mick's brother-in-law during that stretch of time...

I always though Christine McVie was way better than Stevie Nicks, both in voice and looks. I never could figure out why Nicks was so popular...

More 1970's nostalgia ....
Here is Christine's classic "Why" which originally was released on the "Mystery to Me" album. This version of "Why" is from 1975 when Buckingham and Nicks first joined the band... One of Christine's best sad-love songs, and Christines' harmony vocals with Stevie Nicks, for the last minute or so, are really superb... or should we say "Perfect" :)
