Unintentionally discovered the source of PW's factory photo in the "Four new models?" thread:

There appears to be a 4001 with an ebony fretboard and reverse headstock (plus newer keys), and a white 330 double-bound in black, also with an ebony fretboard...whatever they are they're awesome!

Cool, a 381 bass, no HS.

Will this hollow bodied number satisfy those who crave a 4005 reissue?

Yeah, I about choked when I saw that. Then I read the caption. The bass neck just happened to be laying there.

AUGH!! When the guitar is double bound, has triangle inlays, and both ROS and standard jacks (holes clearly visible in photo), it's not "a double bound 330"; it's either a 360 WB, or in the case of 21 frets, a 360 OS, or OS reissue, specifically, the "360 C63" mentioned in the "Four New Models" thread.

Originally, the 330s and 360s had the same body; standard models had fret dots, no body binding, and mono output only, while the "deluxe" guitars had triangle inlays, double bound body binding, neck binding, and both mono and ROS output-they were "deluxe". When the rounded front 360s were introduced, they were distinguished from the original 360 models by the "New Style" designation, while the original body style was called the "OS", and later called "WBBS" and finally, "WB", the latter two designations ended up having 24 frets, and sound hole binding as well.

Sorry for overreacting; that phrase always gets to me since most of my Ricks are 360 WB models.

What about these thick body guitars? 365 Capri maybe? I don't know much about guitar models, I'm just a bass player.

Those are C58 bodies and necks, probably for a special run for the japanese market....310s I think.....
