Bouncing stems/sub mixes

Hello all,
I have been asked to provide separate stems/sub mixes of a track I have written. I have never done this before.
What is the normal procedure? Do I provide one mix for drums, one for guitars, another for bass and one for vocals? Or do I need to split it up further? The original recording has 4 guitar tracks, one bass and 2 vocals. The drums are on one stereo track but I could split this up further too!
Halp!
