Achilles Last Stand!

What do you get when the "old man" tries to keep up with the kids playing football?
He ruptures his achilles tendon! Ouch!
Talk about pain!
I have surgery Thursday and then it's a cast for 6-12 weeks!
Friday would have been my band's back-together gig after a 5 month hiatus. That's out now!

Yikes!! Not a good injury to have, Kevin..... take it very carefully after you come out of plaster and don't overdo it!!

Sorry to hear of your mishap, Kev. The older you get, the more you need to warm up and stretch before exerting yourself.
Fingers crossed for the operation, but enjoy the family waiting on you for a while. Oh, and with 6-12 weeks in a cast, your bass playing should really improve!!!

Kev,
Sorry to hear that. I've rehabilitated a few of them in my time, and it's a tough one. You'll have to work very hard in PT, so make sure you are prepared mentally and physically. Keep positive for the weeks ahead, and of course, good luck with the surgery.
