Of course that's great Rick 12 string. I think that's actually Roger McGuinn playing it. Nice that he had a couple of cameo appearances in the video too, Ben Franklin specs and all.

And that woman in the long evening gown, was that Michelle Phillips, or just some one who resembled her?

That is 1 great version! When was it recorded? Sometime in the '80's? Sounds like that Rick track was cut last week. It sounds really good. Is that definitely RM on it? Inquiring minds want to know...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's RM sitting in on the Rick 12. If not, it sure is somebody who's a dead ringer for him. My guess is that the video came out about the time he put out "Back From Rio." The reason I think so is the hair style he's wearing. It looks to be the same as on thess clips.

The Beach Boys released the single, California Dreaming, on September 1, 1986--according to Wikipedia's discography.

Definitely McGuinn, and the "preacher" is (Papa) John Phillips.
