I read a letter in Premier Guitar magazine today by none other than Kenn Pierog! Anyone else notice this?

I am not sure if their website posts letters but I will check. I read it in a printed, not virtual version.

I haven't seen a post from Kenn in a while!
Those Bass Collection basses were nice. They were modeled after the TUNE basses, but didn't have the high end features of the TUNE basses, therefore were offered at much lower prices. Yamaha and Aria Pro II also had similar models made by SGC Nanyo for awhile in the '80's. Like the article states about Bass Collection not being able to survive with the competition lower priced Korean and Chinese instruments, TUNE basses couldn't survive either. However TUNE did make a comeback, but they are made in China now. They are nice, but not near the build quality of the models made in Japan in the '80's.
