I recognize the tune, but can't place the voice. Almost sounds like Ray Davies at times and then kind of like Jerry Garcia, but I don't think it is either one of them. Do I get points for naming the song?

This is another good one and I am only guessing. Is it Lynard Skynard?

While we are waiting for Ron to arrive with more clues, in the meantime I can give you the feedback that Ray Davies, Jerry Garcia and Lynard Skynard are incorrect.

I would have never guessed that it is Chris Hillman. IIRC the last time I saw Chris was with the The Flying Burrito Brothers in 1969 (or maybe it was 1970) in Bothel Wa. Good ear Roy.

Should have gone with my intuition. I'm familiar with a different version of this song by him; a little more up tempo.

Mike -- I think the tempo was altered slightly when you first listened to it, due to the way I transmitted it to Peter. I then sent a more serviceable version to Peter, and he kindly replaced the slow version with the correct version. So take a listen now and I think it will be more recognizable to you.

Yup! That's the one! Oh, well....... this feature -- Who Am I -- reminds me of the old "blindfold test" that they used to run in Down Beat magazine every month. Lots of fun!
