This isn't The Searchers. But, I believe that it's from the '60s due to the sound of the recording. Who it is, well, that's the mystery. I know that Sonny Bono wrote this song with Jack Nitzsche but I'm not sure if he actually recorded it himself. Did he??? Is it Sonny Bono??

The Farm have redorded it and it was on a album celebrating liverpool as capital of culture (did I miss something) but it is not The Farm.

Clue: The act has a connection with a previous Who Am I

Ok more clues, singer was part of a 60s group as was a previous who am I. American but influenced allegedly by the Brit invasion.
