Who Am I #14

Post by admin »

Here is Who Am I #14 from Roy Clough.

Name the artist who had a hit with this song title and for a bonus point name the performer on this version.

It is an 80s recording of a 60s song.

Who Am I #14
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I don't know the song, or who did the original, but this is Cyndi Lauper.
(a vastly underrated talent, imo)

A little googling, and I have the answer. I'll let others have a chance, though.
Great song, btw. I'm going to go dig up the original.

Cyndi Lauper (original by Frankie Lane and the hit was by Gene Pitney) - I'm Gonna Be Strong

version Peter posted is not the version that Brian has included though one cannot play it on here as embedding disabled.

So tie break for Ron and Brian - who is ACTUALLY credited with version on who am I 14

Greg has the band name. Cyndi was their singer. She re-recorded the song again later in her career. She does a great job of this song IMO.
