Pretty excited I've got tix for Bob tonight and tomorrow at the hollywood palladium

I've seen him once before and it was OK but last night was really good. Charlie Sexton is an incredible player, and a FG Rick bass came out for "all along the watchtower" and "like a rolling stone" I couldn't tell you if it was 4001 or a 4003 but the FWI had that yellowish crushed pearl glare. i was front center nothing between Bob and I but the mic stand, great experince. I've got Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, and Brian Wilson off my list, now I need at least Eric Clapton, and Ray Davies before I can start my 70's list.

I went again last night for his last show at the palladium, it was fun seeing someone a couple nights in a row, I've never done that before. I saw two McCartney shows a month apart once but I've never seen anyone night after night. If you've never seen Dylan, this is a good tour to catch, he's been pretty lively, the set lists have been strong, and the band really is inspired.

Now I'll go back to just reading posts

Thanks for the report. It's nice to know that he's still going strong. I saw him only once. in '74 with The Band, but I'd like to see him again before too much more time passes. I'll always be a big fan of his.

Seeing him with The Band must have been great I wish I could've seen all these artists when they were younger, It's hard being late to the game, and being so excited when some of the excitement has passed for others.

His last four CD's are among my favorite ever, Modern Times being about being tops.

I've been thinking about what you wrote and I pretty much feel the same way. IMHO His newer music lyrically is just as strong as in the past, but musically the newer stuff has sooo much texture to it. I like to listen and pick apart the arrangements lately. How much of the arrangement has to do with him??? But I'm sure the members of the band have everything to do with him. "Beyond Here Lies Nothing" is a great recent example.
