Getting dust off tweed

Any advice for removing just basic dust and dirt off of a tweed case? I'm guessing nothing liquid..

It's just fabric, so I would think anything you would use on clothing should work.

Compressed air is good for getting a lot of dust off things, especially intricate stuff like woven fabrics. I'm not sure the "canned air" type is the best, but a compressor and blow gun works well...

You know - One of those ridiculously overpriced rolls of masking tape with the sticky side out and a handle attached.

How about a vacuum cleaner's upholstery brush?

Machine washable warm. Tumble dry low.

The same thing I use to clean my guitars: Fire. Fire cleans everything.

Actually, I just took a paper towel and brushed it off. Looks fine

Actually, a non-Tao answer would be : Swiffer dusters ... they reslly are dust magnets.

The dust in tweed usually settles, not just on the surface, but also in the grain. Answer: compressed air, and not one of those little pisher cans, either.
Hie thee to your local gas station and ask to borrow their blow hose. With 100+ PSI, you can get the tweed really clean.
Swiffers (I use 'em at home and in my office for furniture and plexi display cases) are great for surface dust, but only compressed air will get the dust from down deep.
Tolex is a different story. I scrub with a brush and saddle soap and water, then towel dry.
