Not sure how my Rickenbacker got past QC at the factory but it did. The octave A and the wound G are not seated in the slots at all. Guess I will have to get out my nut files.

Oh, by the way, hello from a new Ric owner.

Welcome to the Forum ... you've come to the right place. :D Sorry that your new Ric has a slight problem.... doesn't look like an insurmountable issue.

Are those RIC strings on the guitar?

Welcome, Dru!

What Kris said ... check the gauges of the strings on it.

They are the strings that shipped from the factory according to the Authorized Ric dealer that I purchased the guitar from.

Welcome, Dru.

Factory strings are compression wound. It is hard to tell from these photos what these strings are, they may have been changed. Since your a Beatles fan you may want to think about a set of TI flats at this point and then just set the guitar up once.
