WOW!!!!!!!! My band The Beat Rats played this past Wednesday at the International Pop Overthrow Festival at Kenny's Castaways (NYC) with the hopes of impressing Dave Bash (IPO chief) enough to allow us to play our brand of Mersey Punk at The Cavern Club shows that he has planned in May of 2010. It's been a dream of ours to play in Liverpool and to walk it's hallowed grounds. We received this email the day after the show...

I'm so glad you had fun playing! I know I had fun watching you. You guys are awesome! Yes, you can consider yourselves confirmed for IPO Liverpool! The dates are May 25-31. I won't have any further details until at least February, but for now you can consider yourselves "in".

Our plan is to go for 5 to 7 days and play other cities as well. If anyone has suggestions as to which cities (besides London of course) we should play please do let me know.
