Awesome! Thanks fellas.
So does that make "Surfer Girl" basically the most quintessential Beach Boys tune?
OK, semantics, Collin. "Most quintessential" is like, "extrasuperfluous".
I think this would make "Surfer Girl" the quintessential
pre-'65 Beach Boys ballad. However, "Your Summer Dream" is just as qualified, if a bit more obscure.
What's the best non-ballad from this period, including all three themes?
Prolly "Surfin' Safari"?

What the...?
I didn't write any of this, after the second line. You editing my posts, Paul?
Ps---I absolutely did mean "quintessential," dunno why I threw a "most" in there for no good reason!

My screwup, Collin, and no harm intended. I hit the "Edit" button instead of the "Quote" one.
Sorry, my friend.
Should have looked like the next post...
